• Our language policy is to enable students to be biliterate and trilingual. They should be able to read and write in Chinese and English, and be able to speak Putonghua, Cantonese and English.

  • We expect our students to have good language proficiency, writing and speaking the language with fluency, being good at communicating , coping with society's request and the demand of future developments.

Guiding Principles

  • Use English as the medium of instruction in school.

  • Design learning environments that integrate on-going language development with the requirements of the various content syllabuses.

  • Give students a wider repertoire of spoken English / Putonghua opportunities, requiring them to speak English / Putonghua in school campus.

  • Teachers are required to use the language adopted as the MOI as the communication medium with the students.

  • All teachers must meet the language proficiency standard set by the EDB for EMI schools.


  • To create a print-rich English learning environment of the school.

  • To create an English speaking culture among students and teachers.

  • To encourage students to develop their interests and enjoyment of using English/ Putonghua through their daily routines and activities.

  • To encourage students to learn to express themselves in speech and writing with English / Putonghua so as to increase their confidence and improve their language competence.
